The Department of Anesthesiology and critical care of Shri Sathya Sai Medical College and Research Institute was established in the year 2008 with two operating rooms and Intensive care Unit. It has grown tremendously over the years and currently it has ten major operation theatres and three minor operation theatres.

The department takes care of the critically ill patients of five bedded SICU, five bedded RICU and ten bedded MICU. The operation theatres and the ICUs are fully equipped with sophisticated anesthesia gas machines, multi parameter monitors, ventilators, syringe pumps, infusion pumps etc. The department provides services to various surgical disciplines like General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, ENT, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Plastic Surgery and Urology.
