In-fact, the institute contributes to the development of the community through a number of partnerships and programs, including

We recognize that we have to strike a balance between the needs of students and those of the local community. NSS unit of SSSMCRI has been also involved in the Health Awareness Rally to spread awareness about symptoms and prevention of health diseases and door to door field survey
- Youth Red Cross (YRC):Â The YRC is still in its nascent stages in the institute, but the impact has started to become evident. All the planned activities are done with a unique intention for upbringing of the disadvantaged sections of the community and for their social well-being.
- Adoption of Villages:Â The institute has adopted 3 villages since 2013, namely Manambathy, Mullipakkam and Gudvancherry. Since its adoption, a range of health promotion, prevention and treatment activities are being organized weekly and thousands of people have availed the benefit of these free services. In addition, the patients are also provided with consultation to specialist services, referral services, free diagnostic and treatment services.
