Facilities Available
- Our department is one of the important service-providing departments taking care of patients who undergo various surgical procedures. In addition, we take care of critically ill patients admitted in the various Intensive Care Units and also provide pain relief services in the post-operative period and to patients suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions..
- We have well-equipped operation theaters with all facilities to cater to various surgical procedures. We also have intensive care units which have modern ventilators and other equipments to take care of the critically ill patients. We have experienced and skilled anesthesiologists who also have good knowledge to perform various tasks. The paramedical, technical staffs also extend their support to us for the smooth functioning of the department.
- The upgraded pain clinic was inaugurated in August 2016. A good number of patients have benefited so far, who had malignancy, chronic backache, peri-arthritis of shoulder etc. All procedures are done under the guidance of ultrasound or C-arm to improve the accuracy as well as to reduce the complications.
- Library: In addition to the central library, the department library has adequate books for ready reference. The new editions are added every year to update the knowledge.
