Radiodiagnosis Courses
The department offers Post graduate MD (Radiodiagnosis) and BSc (Medical Imaging Technology) courses with enthusiastic conduction and overwhelming participation in various academic activities including Conferences, CME, Guest Lectures and Workshops.
Postgraduate Training
Department trains 5 Radiology postgraduates every year. Post graduates are trained in areas of X-rays, Ultrasound, CT, CECT and MRI. They are exposed to barium studies, hysterosalphingogram and mammogram. They are also exposed to interventional procedures like ultrasound guided ascitic fluid tapping, ultrasound guided pleural fluid tapping and ultrasound guided fine needle aspiration cytology of the breast. They are involved in seminars, journal clubs, case presentations and group discussions. They are encouraged to conduct, interpret and diagnose cases from day 1 of residency training under guidance of faculties. Daily lectures by residents moderated by department faculty are undertaken. Apart from theoretical knowledge, case based reporting and radiation safety is also taught.
B.Sc Medical Imaging Technology
Department trains 10 B.Sc Medical Imaging Technology candidates every year. B.Sc students are trained in areas of X-rays, Mammogram, Ultrasound, CT, MRI and Special procedures. They have participated in poster presentations, paper presentations and attended national and international conferences. They are academically trained by regular theory classes and seminars.
