Radiodiagnosis
PROGRAMMES OFFERED, TEACHING AND TRAINING
UNDERGRADUATE TEACHING
150 undergraduates are taught by trained faculty with the help of meticulously prepared presentations spanning about 20 hours of theory classes and 2 weeks of clinical activities as per the guidelines of the Medical Council of India.
In addition to regular classes, students are actively involved in seminars, camps, rallies, inter college poster competition and quiz competitions.
CRRI TRAINING
Interns have optional postings in the department for 15 days during which basics of Radiology are taught. Radiological anatomy is emphasized, knowledge about differing imaging modalities and hands on ultrasound training are given.
POSTGRADUATE TRAINING
Department trains 5 Radiology postgraduates every year. They are involved in seminars, journal clubs, case presentations and group discussions. They are encouraged to conduct, interpret and diagnose cases from day 1 of residency training under guidance of faculties.
Daily lectures by residents moderated by department faculty are undertaken. Apart from theoretical knowledge, case based reporting and radiation safety is also taught.
