PHARMACOLOGY
CENTRAL ANIMAL HOUSE
Central Animal House (CAH) at SSSMCRI under Pharmacology was established in 2008 to accomplish the requirements of various investigators from different departments in SSSMCRI. It is located in a secluded corner of the campus, away from noise and pollution, providing an excellent environment for animals. The facility is equipped for small animal experimentation with quarantine and experimental rooms for rodents and rabbits. The Animal House is conventional type of animal house where each species can be housed in individual rooms, in which the temperature, humidity, dark and light cycles are monitored. To monitor the health status of the animals we have a Veterinary Doctor. CAH is registered with the committee for the purpose of control and supervision of experiments on animals (CPCSEA), Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India, New Delhi (Registration Number: 1342/AC/10/CPCSEA activities happening in laboratory animal research at Central Animal House at SSSMCRI are performed as per the guidelines of CPCSEA, New Delhi as well as institutional guidelines under the supervision of Institutional Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC).

MUSEUM
Department of pharmacology has a well-established museum with a seating capacity for 50students. It has a comprehensive collection of charts and posters for Undergraduates and Postgraduates students, to further enhance the interest in the history of Pharmacology and promote its further development for the benefit of the general public. There are charts depicting Clinical Pharmacology, Mechanism of drug action, Drug interaction and Pharmacognosy. It is updated regularly to keep in touch with dynamic developments in the field of Pharmacology
