The department of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology has:
Our Infrastructure encompasses
- A research laboratory for doing toxicological ,serological research
- A practical lab hall for conducting practical classes and as well as practical examination. It has 30 monocular and four binocular Micoscopes.
- Fully equipped State of the art mortuary with a cold storage unit for six bodies, a separate dissection area for Autopsy and a viewing gallery for 40-50 students. The mortuary has a separate area for viscera packing, storage & a designated area for the Police & relatives of eth diseased.
- A facility for performing anthropometric study ( there is stadiometer, Vernier calipers, weighing machine etc)
- State of the art Forensic Museum Housing over 60 Wet Specimens of Medico-Legal importance, 101 Poisons, 40 Photographs, 28 charts and Over 100 weapons.
- Two demo halls having a capacity for accommodating 80 (eighty) students for practical demonstration classes.
- First demo hall has facility of LCD projector and screen for taking classes with audio-visual aid such as power point, video demonstration etc.
- Second demo hall has a chalk and board facility for taking both theory and practical demonstration classes
