The Clinical Biochemistry laboratory is located in the Hospital block. The equipment includes fully automated chemistry analyzer, electrochemiluminescence hormone analyzer, electrolyte analyzer based on ion- selective electrodes (ISE), arterial blood gas analyzer, Semi-automated analyzer, Nycocard for HbA1c etc. Besides carrying out routine investigations (tests), the laboratory is also actively involved in the quantitation of several diagnostically relevant analytes including hormones, tumour markers etc. All analytical measurements are subjected to strict quality check. The internal quality assurance program is facilitated by M/S Biorad USA. The external quality assessment (EQAS) is under the aegis of Clinical Biochemistry Laboratory, CMC, Vellore. Clinical Biochemistry laboratory in the hospital provides 60,000 routine tests/month and 250 special tests month. Shri Sathya Sai Mobile Hospital Project conducts Medical camps which are organized by the Biochemistry Technicians.
