Apart from day to day op activities, where patient’s routine skin problems are diagnosed and treated , the department focuses on cosmetic dermatology & dermatosurgery clinic manned by senior consultants who are well trained and experienced in advanced cosmetic procedures

6.Dr.Jeyakumari jeevan,Professor of Dermatology chaired a session on “IMMUNOFLOURESCENCE IN AUTOIMMUNE BULLOUS DISEASES” in CME ON HISTOPATHOLOGY conducted by Tamilnadu IADVL group & SIG Dermatopathology in Kanchi kamakodi child trust hospital,chennai ON 18TH June 2017.

5.LEPROSY CME The Department of Dermatology, Venereology and Leprology organised a CME on leprosy clinical spectrum by Dr.R.Madhu of Madras medical college on 30th January 2016 to mark the world leprosy day for Under graduate students.
6.PSORIASIS.Department of Dermatology,venereology & Leprosy conducted a CME on “Psoriasis – Basic Essentials” in Sree sathya sai medical college & Research institute.Resource person being Dr.Parimalam kumar,Professor & Head,Deparment of DVL,kilpauk medical college & Goverment royapettah hospital,Chennai on account of world psoriasis day(OCT 30th) on November 2nd,2016.
7.Department of dermatology,venereology & leprosy conducted a poster competition on AIDS awareness for undergraduate students on December 1st 2016 on account of world AIDS day
8.On account of world leprosy day(30-1-17),Department of Dermatology,venereology & leprosy conducted Sparsh Leprosy Awareness Campaign (SLAC) on February 14th 2017.

3.Dr.Anupama devi,PG second year presented a case of trichorrhexis nodosa in annual conference of Teledermatology held on 19-8-2018 in Hotel savera,Chennai.She got second prize for the same.
4.Dr.Sai preethi,PG second year presented a paper on Graham little piccardi lasseur syndrome in annual conference of Teledermatology held on 19-8-2018 in Hotel savera,Chennai.
5.Dr.Sai preethi presented a paper on “Herpes Iris of Bateman” in “International conference of Emergency Dermatology” held on September 14th 2018 in Shree balaji medical college,Chennai.
